Jesus said: “I am the light of the world.”
(John 8:12)
To a world lost in darkness, Christ offers Himself as a guide. When you’re lost in a dense jungle of worldly darkness, Jesus can chop down a path because He is The Path. “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” John 1:5 NIV
These are dark times. Are you in the dark? If so, you are not alone. I used to be in the dark, it was so dark it felt like I was wearing it. Spiritually, I was like a blind man wearing sunglasses in a dark room searching for a black cat that was not there.
The truth is, sometimes the lights go out in life and we feel left alone in the dark with our pain, our guilt, our shame that comes from wrong decisions. So how do we find our way back to the light? How do we take the next step forward when we our eyes can’t see? How do we live with that gut feeling of knowing something is wrong but don’t know how to fix it?
The answer is Jesus! When Jesus was sent from Heaven by God, “The Word (Jesus)
became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen His glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.” John 1:14
Thank you Father for sending your Son to live among us for 33 short years. “Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.” Psalms 119:105
Jesus can take us from death to life, from darkness to light and from this temporary place on earth into our eternal Reward.
Some things will never change; Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever. “In the beginning was The Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” John 1:1 No one gets to the Father except through Him.
Jesus was with God in the beginning before anything was made that our human eyes can now see presently all around us. We cannot even fathom when the beginning began because God always was and always will be, along with Jesus. God sent Jesus to bring light and life to the darkness in humankind. This Light and Life is our Way to reconnect to our Father in Heaven.
Jesus has already prepared the Way, right now He is preparing you. At this point, I reinforce, Heaven is a prepared place for prepared people. Are you ready to meet Him at your appointed time or when He returns to Earth?
The Bible states in John 1:5 “The Light shines in the darkness and the darkness has not overcome.” Darkness cannot remain where the light of Heaven shines.
When you find yourself surrounded by dark circumstances, turn to Jesus. Darkness cannot remain where the light of Heaven shines. No matter how dark it gets, no matter how long you have to wait . . . Keep believing, keep praising, and hold tight to your faith. When you enter His presence with praise, God enters your life with Power!
