The writing above and below is excerpted from my third Christian book called Golden Walk: Following Wisdom into Heaven.
When we get to Heaven it will be in a Land of no more longing for a better place to live. We will finally be at our eternal Home Sweet Home. There will be no more desire or searching for that perfect home that does not exist on earth for us.
There will be many rooms in our Father’s House. The good thing for us old-timers is there will be no more forgetting why we entered a room. No more searching for my watch all weekend, only to find it on Monday morning in my lunch bucket.
Heaven will be so much better than our childhood home where we first experienced the love of family, the joy of Christmas, and mom’s special cooking. Best of all, we get to see Jesus!!!
There will be no more darkness because we will receive light from the glory of God. “The city (Heaven) does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and the Lamb (Jesus) is its lamp.” Revelation 21:23 NIV
There will be no more dementia or any other disease. No more worrying about being diagnosed with cancer or Covid-19. No more debates on wearing masks and the pros and cons of the vaccination followed by countless boosters. There will be no more aches and pains or walking slowly into the shower with my glasses on.
Perhaps we will take a shower where we are drenched in liquid Peace. Better yet, how about a bath in a pool of patience? The pond for our soul will be full of Living Water, and we will have no more thirst.
The sky’s the limit when thinking about Heaven. There will be no more nightmares, as our dreams will include millions of rainbows without even closing our eyes.
When your yesterdays outnumber the days you have left in your tomorrows . . . You must know with certainty where you will spend eternity. Some things will never change; Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever. No one comes to the Father except through Him.
God has already prepared The Way, right now He is preparing you. My prayer is one day we will meet in Heaven. God bless you!
