Grounded Angels -- Ready to Fly!

The snowfall surprised me and made my mind wander more than normal. When I first saw it, my thoughts went to manna falling from Heaven. I praised God for the gift of sight and how he takes care of us by being a Way Maker and Miracle Worker. Thank you, Father for the blessing of sight and provision.

After several minutes of relaxing in the tranquility, I realized the snow does not make any noise like rain when it falls. I praised God. It was fun to examine a tiny snowflake. It mesmerized me to see the perfect, yet unique, shape God creates in the snowflake. What an awesome Creator we have. I reflected on the color of the snow is white and pure just like the Lamb of God. The snow on the ground glistens like diamonds. Our souls become that way when we accept Christ and become a New Creation. Praise God for the gift of hearing and His Son that gave us New Life.

Later in the day, I laughed gleefully as I made my first snow angel at age 68. Laying in the snow transformed me into a young boy again. It was awesome to make a miniature snowman. I smelled the snow on my hand to see if it had a scent from God. It had no smell that I could detect but now I know what cold feels like through my nose. I’m grateful, even though the snow got under my pants and gave me a modified ice wedgie. Oooh Weee! Praise God for the sense of smell and touch.

It’s amazing the way God has used snow at the North and South poles to regulate the temperature of the Earth. It is fascinating to think about how God recycles water as he keeps it deposited in oceans, rivers, streams and even mud puddles. When Mr. Sun heats up the water deposits, the water evaporates to form clouds. These clouds are then able to return the water back down to the Earth in the form of rain, snow, sleet, or hail. What a concept to wonder how old the snow is and where it came from. Maybe a dinosaur once splashed in the puddle it was once stored in. How many years are there between the beginning point of where a glacier begins to the point when it falls into the ocean?

God is the Master Recycler, and we are blessed to be able to have enough water to drink as a result. We are most blessed to drink from the Living Water, aka Jesus who gives us the ticket to Heaven. “Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.” John 7:38. All we must do is believe in Him so we will not perish but have eternal life. Thank you Jesus!

Where you will live for eternity can still be determined right now. The choice is yours, TODAY, to have your name written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.

Snow angels of the same feather fly to Heaven together. Will I see you there? God bless you!
