Become Part of the Free Generation

Updated: Aug 7, 2021

It gives me joy to let you know I am coming along well with my third Christian book entitled, Golden Walk: Following Wisdom Into Heaven. God willing, it will be published in November 2021.

Below is an excerpt from Chapter 11 named BY FAITH:

How far away is the Kingdom of God? It is as close as your Faith. “For God so loved the World that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16 Jesus spoke these words to the Pharisee named Nicodemus after he asked “how can a man be born when he is old? Nicodemus was listening with his head (the physical) but to be born from above, he had to listen with his heart (the spiritual).

In the section that follows, I really had to dig into my study bible to capture the essence of what I learned about regeneration. This goldmine is called the New Geneva Study Bible and was given to me by a good friend named Bill Hinson. When he gave it to me, I was still a baby Christian about twenty years ago. At that point in my Christian walk, it was like giving a 16-year old student driver the keys to a Formula One race car. Bill’s gift of this study Bible helped me to quickly understand how the books and scriptures are connected and they all point to our Lord and Savior.

Being 'born again' in a new birth or regeneration is an act that only God can perform in which He renews the human heart. God acts at the origin and deepest point of the human person. This means there is no preparation nor a preceding temperament in a sinner that requests a new life given by God. This new birth is necessary because all descendants of Adam and Eve have inherited their sin and this sin keeps us separated from God. Regeneration is the free gift of God’s grace. It is immediate and supernatural through the work of the Holy Spirit. It awakens us from spiritual death to everlasting life. God has done His part by giving us His Son. It is our responsibility to become born again by faith in Jesus. The fruit of regeneration is faith. Regeneration comes before faith. And, without faith it is impossible to please God.

You probably have heard of how people are categorized into generation groups based on when they were born. For example, mine is the Baby Boomer Generation that includes those born between 1946 and 1964. There is also the Pepsi Generation!

What we need is an overlapping, all-inclusive generation called the Free Generation or FreGeneration. Free is good, freedom to be vocal about what we believe. Free to believe in the Truth that has set us free. It is based on regeneration or being born again in Christ. Part of this Truth is knowing what we are living life for, that is: “to love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. Love your neighbor as yourself.” Matthew 22:37-39. Please understand, we are not human beings having a spiritual experience, but spiritual beings having a human experience. Based on these convictions, choosing regeneration will determine where we will end up for eternity.

FreGeneration is the generation group I want to be associated with because it won’t be too much longer before the Uppertaker (rapture) or undertaker (death) will take us from this earth. Join the army of the FreGeneration and accept the free gift of salvation. Then go tell others the Good News by being vocal about what we believe.

What about you? Are you set to go to Heaven?
