Melted Snow

I had to chuckle this morning as I looked at the large pot of melted snow on the stove next to my soon to be breakfast.

The melted snow water reminded me of what was happening just four days ago:

When we were at coldest and darkest moment, more bad new came - NO WATER was coming out of the kitchen faucet - the pipes were frozen. We had no communication . . . My mind raced to busted pipes, plumbing costs, and unflushable toilets. This former desert dweller/Barrio boy had no clue what to do next, so I prayed. And bingo - it came to me, melt some snow on our gas stove.

For it is God who works in you to do his will and act according to His good purpose.” Philippians 2:13

I’m getting rid of the melted snow water later today but . . . I’m keeping a reservoir full of Living Water in my heart and soul to flush away any filth that comes from the darkness of the world.

When we meet and form a personal relationship with Jesus, we can continuously draw joy from the well of salvation. We must immerse ourselves regularly in His Living Water so we will never be thirsty again. Flood the reservoir of your mind and soul to extinguish any fiery darts or flaming arrows from the enemy. We are in a struggle against spiritual forces of evil. Therefore put on the full armor of God so that when the day of evil comes, you will be able to hold your ground.” Ephesians 6 13. Along with this armor, your feet will be fitted with readiness that comes from the gospel of peace so you can stand your ground.

Keep a spiritual basin full of Living Water to wash away any filth that comes from the darkness of the world. Draw joy from the well of His salvation today - the Joy of the Lord will be your strength.
