Voila!!!!
Instant Ramen noodles - not quite in an instant, is it?
Even making instant ramen noodles takes a process, but when God is involved the change is immediate.
Whenever people are saved by God, it is instantaneous. That special moment known as regeneration.
Being born again in a new birth or regeneration is an act that only God can perform in which He renews the human heart. It is the free gift of God’s Grace through the work of the Holy Spirit.
On November 13, 1999, I was born again by Faith in Jesus. The changing of my heart was instant and it also dried up my 30 year addiction to alcohol. For this, I am eternally grateful!
God always was and always will be with me forever. “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16 NIV
That’s what makes true Christianity unique from the rest of the religions out there. Many religions offer some type of salvation (getting to Heaven) through works, where you can earn your salvation because you are more good than bad. When we become born again believers in Christ, we know that salvation is not a process.
We know because Jesus said it implicitly in John 14:5-6: “Thomas said to him, “Lord, we don’t know where you are going, so how can we know the way?” Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
In the same way that Lazarus went from being dead to alive physically, believers go from being dead to alive spiritually.
Look at what happened to Saul, the self-professed Pharisee of all Pharisees. He was bloodthirsty and angry, determined to irradiate anything and everyone Christian. On the road to Damascus, Jesus appeared and knocked him off his high horse, and left him blind for three days. Saul could see only one direction which was inward. And what he saw he did not like.
“Sometimes we are broken like ramen noodles, so it can increase our capacity to receive and afterwards share His goodness.” Other times we may have to hit rock bottom so we can meet the Rock (Jesus) at the bottom. I heard a testimony from a new born believer who told me he knew he had to change his life when was so out of it that he began eating ramen noodles dry without preparing them in hot water.
Paul, formerly known as Saul, was instantly transformed while on his way to kill Christians in Damascus. The Lord asked Ananias to go and encourage him, remove his blindness, and the Bible tells us that Paul became a Christian and immediately began preaching. There was no time between his receiving sight and his preaching. The transformation was instant and complete. You can read about Paul’s transformation story in the Book of Acts, Chapter 9.
Perhaps this is your day to make the choice that will change you instantly forever. Chose Jesus . . . the rewards are eternal.
In 2 Corinthians 6:2 God says:
“At the right time I heard your prayers.
On the day of salvation I helped you.”
I tell you that the “right time” is now, and the “day of salvation” is now.”
This takes man completely out of the salvation process and eliminates any opportunity for man to be able to steal any glory from God.
Make TODAY - your “day of Salvation” so we can spend eternity in Heaven. Will I see you there?
